As you might have noticed, I decided to pause the English version of my podcast, High on Books. At some point, it was meant to be just a momentary pause, but then it became something permanent.
When I began recording the Spanish version of the podcast, I realized my message flows differently in my own language. In English, I often felt self-conscious, like what I wanted to express didn’t fully translate. It was fun, but also frustrating.
I wanted to write this post because this is not just something I left aside and forgot about. I’m still in love with this project, and I’m just trying to find the best way to share it so the message comes across as something I want to share, rather than just a superedited version of my words. So right now, I’m exploring the possibilities. YouTube might be the right format, with subtitles, perhaps something shorter.
For now, I’m focusing on creating more in Spanish, while keeping the door open to new ways of connecting in English. I’m still here, looking for ways to express what I love in the best way I know how.
